youngest person to climb the world’s seven highest mountains


Jordan Romero from California reached the 4,897 metre summit of Vinson Massif in Antarctica on Christmas Eve(Dec 24th, 2011) six years after beginning his challenge and became the youngest person to complete the 7 summits at the age of 15 years, 5 months, 12 days.
Romero scaled Mount Kilimanjaro when he was just 10 and Everest at 13.
He beat the record previously held by British climber George Atkinson, who completed the ascents at age 16
The seven tallest and most dangerous mountaintops in each of the seven continents are - 
1)Mt. Everest in the Himalaya Mountains of Nepal and China elevation 29,035 feet

2)Mt. Aconcagua in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, elevation 22,841 feet

3)Mount McKinley in the Alaska Range, elevation 20,320 feet
4)Mt Kilimanjaro in the Kilimanjaro Mountains of Tanzania, elevation 19,340

5)Mt. Elbrus in the Caucasus Mountains of Russia, elevation 18,510 

6)Mt. Vinson Massif in the Ellsworth Mountains of Antarctica, elevation 16,050 feet and

7)Carstensz Pyramid in the Maoke Mountains of Indonesia, elevation 16,024
