Virender Sehwag( in his 93rd Test match) became the 5th Indian batsman to complete 8000 runs in Test cricket when he reached an individual score of 20 against Australia in the first cricket Test at the MCG on Dec 27,2011.Virender Sehwag smashed a quickfire 67 after being dropped twice on 54 and 58 respectively.
Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman are the Indian players who have reached the coveted milestone of scoring over 8000 runs.
