Minnesota Legalizes Gay Marriage -Tuesday May 14,2013

 
Minnesota officially became the 12th U.S. state to approve same  sex marriage when Gov. Mark Dayton appeared before a jubilant crowd to sign a marriage equality bill into law on Tuesday May 14,2013
"Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness should certainly include the right to marry the person you love," Gov. Mark Dayton noted.

The first lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) couples will be allowed to tie the knot when the law takes effect on Aug 01,2013

As of May 2013 there are 12 States in USA that legally recognize Same-sex marriage.They are -
  • Conneticut
  • Delaware
  • Iowa
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Minnesota
  • New Hampshire
  • New York
  • Rhode Island
  • Vermont and
  • Washington
