Students from Namakkal reigned supreme in the State Board Class XII examinations, bagging the top two ranks in the State
Three students from Namakkal secured the top two ranks -
Jayasuriya S. of Vidyaa Vikas Boys Higher Secondary School, and Abhinesh S. of Green Park MHSS scored a total of 1189
The second rank was shared who scored 1188 by -
The third rank was shared by nine students who scored 1187.-
Close to 8,53,355 candidates took the examination across the State this year.According to the Directorate of Government Examinations, the overall pass percentage stands at 88.1 % higher than last year’s 86.7 %.

- Palaniraj S. of Vidya Vikas MHSSV, Namakkal, and
- Akalya R. of Sri Vijay Vidyalaya MHSS (Hosur)
The third rank was shared by nine students who scored 1187.-
- Four of them were from Namakkal - Kalaivani E., Vishnu Varthan V., Kanmani A.K.and Manothini U
- Rajeswari N.G. from Melur
- Raveena K. from Krishnagiri
- Nivedhitha A.S. from Selaiyur
- Pooja S. Kumar from Porur and
- Muthumanikandan S. from Avadi
