Microsoft Corp on Wednesday named Amy Hood, head of finance of its Office division, as its new chief financial officer(CFO)
Amy Hood(41) the first woman to hold the CFO post at Microsoft, takes over from Peter Klein, who announced his departure in April. She takes up the job immediately, while Klein will remain at the company through the end of June.

- Amy Hood first joined Microsoft in 2002 and before today was the CFO for the company's Business division, which includes its Office software products and services
- Amy Hood played a key role in Microsoft's acquisitions of Skype in 2011 and Yammer in 2012
