Grenada is an Island Country and Commonwealth Realm consisting of the Island of Grenada and 6 Smaller Islands at the Southern end of the Gredadines  in the Southeastern Caribbean Sea.

Grenada is also known as the "Island of Spice" because of the production of Nutmeg and Mace Crops of which Grenada is one of the world's largest exporters

The Parliament of Grenada is Bicameral -
House of Representatives has 15 Members elected for a five-year term in single-seatconstituencies
The Senate has 13 Members,10 are appointed by the Govt of Grenada, and 3 by the leader of the opposition.

2013 Grenadian General Election -Feb 19,2013

The election was announced by Prime Minister Tillman Thomas at the national Democratic Congress Party Convention at Sauteurs Bus Station on January 13,2013

Incumbent Prime Minister Tillman Thomas (National Democratic Congress) is facing a challenge by Keith Mitchell,Leader of New National Party
 

The election was held to select 15 members of the House of Representatives.15 seats of the 28-seat bicameral parliament are up for election.Legislators for the remaining 13 seats are appointed by the governing and opposition parties.

 2013 General Election Result
The result was a victory for the Opposition New National Party which won all 15 seats.Keith Mitchell, who served three terms as prime minister between 1995 and 2008, will return to power
