The program anchored by Actor Suriya Commenced from Feb 27,2012 in Vijay TV Non-Thursday at 8 P.M.
Tamil KBC, “Neengalum Vellalaam Oru Kodi” involve 15 questions to be answered by the contestants to win the first prize of 1 crore.The 15 questions are grouped ina manner that -
1) First 5 Questions to be answered within 30 Seconds
2)Next 5 Questions to be answered within 45 Seconds and
3)Last 5 Questions to be answered without time-limit
Also the contestants are give 3 Lifelines - 50-50;Audience Poll and Phone-a-Friend to be used for answering the question at any point of time.
The program is evolved in such a way that contestants has to cross three stages to reach the firs t prize.That is, First Stage consists of 5 questions to be answered each within 30 seconds and if the contestant answers all the 5 questions then he is sure of taking an amount of Rs 10000.Similarly,Second Stage consists of 5 questions to be answered each within 45 seconds and if the contestant answers all the 5 questions then he is sure of taking an amount of Rs3,20,000.And finally,if the contestant answers the last 5 questions then he is the winner of 1 core.
