Baby Sussex, as the new arrival has been dubbed until he is formally given a name, is the Queen's eighth great grandchild and seventh in line to the throne and is also the first mixed race baby to be born to a senior royal

Baby Sussex will be the first senior royal to have the right to dual UK-US citizenship;

The new arrival weighed 7lb 3oz, making him the lightest baby among his cousins.

Prince Louis of Cambridge was 8lb 7oz when he was born in April last year, while his elder brother George was 8lb 6oz at birth in 2013. Their sister Charlotte was 8lb 3oz when she arrived in 2015.

But the newborn will soon shoot up if his father (6lb 14oz when he arrived in 1984) and uncle (William was 7lb 1½oz in 1982) are anything to go by.
