2017 Hong Kong Open Super Series Women's Singles - P V Sindhu beat Japan’s Aya Ohori and enters QF's Thursday Nov 23,2017

PV Sindhu continued her good run of form recently as she stormed into the quarter-final of the Hong Kong Open Super Series in Kowloon on Thursday Nov 23,2017

Sindhu crushed Japan’s Aya Ohori in straight games to qualify for the last eight of the tournament. Sindhu recorded a 21-14, 21-17 win in just 39 minutes to continue her unbeaten record against the Japanese star.

In the one-sided match, Sindhu got into the groove early to the lead in the first game against her less-illustrious opponent. The 2014 Olympics silver medallist took the first game 21-14 to illustrate her dominance in the match.

The second game started in the same manner as the first — with Sindhu surging into the lead early on. Ohori issued a late fightback in the second game by winning give points in a row. However, Sindhu's experience and class helped her close the second game at 21-17.

Sindhu will now face the winner of the other second round match between Akane Yamaguchi or Sayaka Sato in the QF's
