Argentina Qualified for the 2014 FIFA World Cup beating Paraguay 5-2 on Tuesday Sep 10,2013 in Asuncion, Paraguay and becoming the first South American team beside host Brazil to be assured of a spot at the tournament

 South American Zone(CONMEBOL)Qualifiers
The South American Zone(CONMEBOL) of 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualification takes place among 9 Teams competing for 4-5 places

All CONMEBOL national teams will play against each other twice on a home-and-away basis in a single group for 4 or 5 allotted berths.

The top four teams will automatically qualify

Peru;Bolivia and Paraguay has no chance of qualifying

Colombia will qualify if they draw or win against Chile, or if the match between Ecuador and Uruguay does not end in a draw.

Chile will qualify if they win their match against Colombia.

The winner of the match between Ecuador and Uruguay will be assured of at least a spot in the play-off against Jordan. If they draw, or if Venezuela fails to win against Paraguay, they will both be assured of at least a spot in the play-off.

Venezuela will be eliminated if they fail to win or if Ecuador and Uruguay draw.
