YSR Congress President Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy Gets Bail Monday Sep 23,2013


Kadapa MP and YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy was granted bail by the Principal Special Court for CBI Cases in Hyderabad on Monday Sep 23,2013 even as the investigating agency has stated that it could not establish quid pro quo in the case of 8 companies

While granting the bail, the court held that the apprehension of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that the main accused in quid pro quo investments case would tamper with evidence at the present stage was unfounded

In a separate memo filed in the court, the CBI stated that it could not establish quid pro quo in case of -
  • Sandur Power
  • Carmel Asia
  • PVP Business Ventures
  • Jubilee Media
  • Classic Realty & Brahmani Infratech
  • RR Global
  • Saraswati Power and 
  • Mantri Developers it had named in the FIR. 

Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy is likely to be released from Chanchalguda prison on Tuesday Sep 24,2013 after the completion of formalities for his bail in the special court

Jaganmohan Reddy was released by the jail authorities after his lawyers completed the formalities and a personal bond of Rs. 2 lakh was executed on his behalf and two sureties of the like sum were deposited.
YSR Congress president and Kadapa Member of Parliament, Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy stepped out to freedom from the Chanchalguda prison at 3.55 p.m. on Tuesday as hundreds of cheering supporters raised slogans, burst firecrackers and danced with joy
The Chanchalguda prison and its surroundings were teeming with hundreds of YSR Congress activists and people from across the State, who had gathered since morning to catch a glimpse of their leader


He released about half a dozen pigeons before getting into a waiting bullet-proof vehicle, part of a large convoy that proceeded from the Chanchalguda to his Lotus Pond residence in the posh Jubilee Hills area.

As the convoy made its way, the crowd continued to follow him on two-wheelers and a large number of four-wheelers

It took almost five-and-half hours for the convoy to reach the residence where he was given a traditional welcome by the family members

Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy,who broke away from the Congress in 2010 following differences with the ruling party leadership, was arrested by the CBI on May 27,2012 on the charges of influencing quid pro quo investments into his firms
