2019 Indian Parliamentary Election April 11 to May 19,2019 - Akhilesh, Mayawati announce SP-BSP alliance in Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand




After announcing a tie up in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav have announced their pre-poll alliance in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

In a joint statement released by the two parties, Akhilesh and Mayawati said out of the five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand, the SP will contest from Garhwal (Pauri) constituency. The BSP will field candidates in the reamining seats.

Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh, the SP will contest from Balaghat, Tikamgarh and Khajuraho seats, while the BSP filed candidates from the remaining 26 seats

For the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections - 

BSP is contesting 38 seats and the SP 37

3 seats have been given to Ajit Singh's Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD)

The SP-BSP alliance has decided not to field candidates from Amethi and Raebareli, the parliamentary constituencies represented by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his mother Sonia, respectively
