After having reached a stage where the Congress was contemplating snapping ties with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the mahagathbandhan on Friday (March 29) finally declared the seats allocation amongst the alliance partners for all 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar.
Rashtriya Janata Dal has released its seat-sharing agreement on Bihar mahagathbandhan for 40 Lok Sabha seats.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday March 29,2019 said that his party would be contesting on 19 seats in the state for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced the candidature of Misa Bharti from Patliputra, Raghuvansh Prasad Singh from Vaishali and Abdul Bari Siddiqui from Darbhanga leaving Congress leader Kirti Azad's fate hanging in balance.
Former JD(U) president and NDA convener Sharad Yadav will be contesting from Madhepura, JD(U) MLA Sarfaraz Alam from Araria and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti from Pataliputra.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav declared the names of 18 candidates from his party out of 19 keeping the decision of Sheohar on hold after his elder brother Tej Pratap demanded his choice of candidate to be fielded from there.
The RJD has fielded Chandrika Rai, father-in-law of Tej Pratap from Saran.
According to sources, Tej Pratap has decided to fight against his father-in-law as an Independent. He is fighting a divorce battle with Aishwarya after they got married last year.
The Congress also declared names of seven candidates out of nine with Ranjita Ranjan getting ticket from Supaul and Miera Kumar from Sasaram.
With the Congress likely to announce the candidature of Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Sahib only after he officially joins the Congress on April 6, announcement for Valmikinagar has been kept on hold.
Deliberations are going on whether Kirti Azad would contest from this seat after his present seat Darbhanga went to the RJD. It may be mentioned that Congress stepped up pressure on the RJD for Darbhanga seat but failed leaving Kirti Azad with option of going to Valmikinagar
