2015-16 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 - Juventus Vs FC Bayern Munich Tuesday February 23,2016

Two European heavyweights meet in Turin this week as Juventus hosts Bayern Munich in the first leg of their last-16 Champions League tie.

Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli is eager to make home advantage count against Bayern Munich on Tuesday - stating his team's Champions League opponent is among the three best teams in the world.

Bayern  Munich is the only foreign team to have beaten Juventus on Italian soil in the past decade - picking up wins in 2009 and 2013 - and Barzagli maintains the Bundesliga giant cannot be underestimated.

Tuesday's first leg will be Bayern's first European test since Pep Guardiola's departure at the end of the season was confirmed.

  • Juventus, which finished second in Group D behind Manchester City, has made it to the knockout stages of the Champions League in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2005/06.

  • Juventus has lost only two of its last 34 home games in the Champions League (W22 D10). Both of those defeats were against Bayern Munich.
