Previous Railways Budgets - Five biggest unfulfilled promises for Rajasthan

1. High speed rail corridor: The announcement was made in the 2012-13 Rail Budget. Nothing has been done on the ground to initiate the running of Delhi-Jaipur- Ajmer-Jodhpur high speed bullet train with a speed of 250-300kmph.
2. Mainline electrical multiple units: The announcement was made in 2013-14. The Memu coach factory was to be built at a cost of Rs 800 crore. Sonia Gandhi had laid the foundation stone for the project but nothing was done after that.
3. Rail Neer bottling plant: It was annopunced in the 2013-14 Rail Budget that a water bottling plant would be set up in Sambar with the help of Hindustan Salt Limited. The capacity of the plant was set as 72,000 bottles per day. But the project is still incolplete.
4. Alwar skill development centre: The centre that was mulled in 2013-14 and as planned it would run courses in Railways Business Management. One such centre has come up in Udaipur but Alwar is yet to see such an institution.
5. Free WiFi at A-1 stations: 2014-15 was the year when this was announced. The proposal was to provide free WiFi at A-1 and A class stations. Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer Bikaner fall under A-1 category.Alwar
