TV star Ashish Sharma's fan following has
grown tremendously in the last couple of months because the actor was
declared the winner of hit dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season
seven.
Special
screenings of the show were held at community centres in various towns
and villages of Rajasthan to motivate audience to vote for him
Ashish received the most number
of votes and walked home with a huge cash award and a swanky new car at
the end of a glittering grand finale on Saturday night.
The
actor, who started out with a small role in Dibakar Banerjee's Love Sex
Aur Dhoka and shot to fame with hit daily soap Rangrasiya, was
confident about his popularity.
The finale saw a face-off between four finalists - Shakti Mohan, Karan Tacker, Mouni Roy and Ashish.

The
judges declared a tie between Ashish and Karan in the final round and
decided to rely on an on-set audience poll, which named Ashish
victorious.
The 30-year old actor, who hails from Jaipur, especially enjoyed a strong backing from Rajasthan.
