Petrol price was hiked by 75 paisa per litre on Friday.The increase in rates, which are excluding local sales tax or VAT, will be effective from midnight- IOC statement said
Following the revision, every litre of petrol will cost Rs. 63.99 in Delhi, Rs. 70.68 in Mumbai, Rs. 66.85 in Chennai and Rs. 71.29 in Kolkata
The increase in petrol price is the first in three months, the last hike being on March 1. Since then, petrol prices had been cut four times on falling global oil prices
Also Diesel Price Hiked by 0.50 paise/litre as rupee hit 11-month low making oil imports costlier.This is the 5th increase in Diesel Prices this year
The per litre cost of diesel from Saturday would stand revised to Rs. 50.25 in Delhi, Rs. 56.66 in Mumbai, Rs. 53.53 in Chennai and Rs. 54.56 in Kolkata from Saturday
