Buddh International Circuit


The Buddh International Circuit,The Formula One Racing Circuit in Greater Noida,U.P,India will host the inaugural Formula One Indian Grand Prix on October 30, 2011
Buddh International Circuit was officially inaugurated on 18 October 2011.The circuit will be part of the 2,500 acres (10 km2) Jaypee Greens Sports City.The Buddh International circuit logo consists of a ‘B’ which also resembles a heart.
The circuit was officially named the Buddh International Circuit because -
The name is derived from the word Buddha  and represents peace and calm
The name is also a reference to the Gautam Budh Nagar District in which the circuit is located

The Indian Grand Prix took place on 30October2011 as the 17th race of the 2011 Formula One Season. On 30 October 2011, the first F1 Grand Prix was held at the circuit. Sebastian Vettel won the event, his 11th of the season.Sebastian Vettel won the Indian Grand Prix at Buddh International Circuit ahead of Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso.


Sachin Tendulkar waved the chequered flag to welcome Sebastian Vettel.
