The exit polls on Saturday could not agree on the results of the Karnataka assembly election, with a couple suggesting a BJP win, one tipping Congress
to win and three others predicting a hung assembly but disagreeing on
which party was ahead in the race.
With all agreeing that H D Deve Gowda's JD(S) could have a substantial chunk of seats, anywhere between 20 and 40, the former Prime Minister and his son could well turn out to be kingmakers in the event of a hung House.
Of the six polls available, four gave BJP the lead while two put Congress ahead. One of the four polls that saw the saffron party as likely to be the largest in the assembly
