England have handed leg spinner Mason Crane his test debut in place of all-rounder Chris Woakes, who suffered a side injury and was withdrawn from the side as a precaution.

At 27 years and 217 days, Smith is also the youngest Australian to reach the feat, beating the previous record of 29 years and 98 days held by Smith's first Test captain, Ricky Ponting.
Only three players have arrived at 6,000 Test runs at a younger age than Smith and one of them is in this match.
India legend Sachin Tendulkar was 26 years and 313 days when he passed the mark, ahead of England's Alastair Cook (27 years and 43 days) and former South Africa captain Graeme Smith (27 years, 323 days).

Alastair Cook became the sixth batsman to score 12,000 runs in test cricket who was dismissed for 10 rocking back in his crease to a superb delivery from spinner Nathan Lyon that removed the bail from his off stump.
Earlier Australia declared their innings at 649/7 with Shaun Marsh 156(291 Balls 4x18) and Mitchell Marsh 101(141 Balls 4x15 and 6x2)

That all five Tests went to a fifth day was a rarity, having not happened in an Ashes series since the 1994-95 campaign in Australia.
It was also a series of slow scoring, the overall run rate of 2.95 the lowest in any Ashes series since that same 1994-95 tour.
But despite England's fight, Australia dominated the majority of this contest, and a 4-0 outcome seemed a fitting result.
Steve Smith's side regained the Ashes by winning the first three Tests - the hosts have won seven of the past eight series down under as well as 15 of their past 20 home Tests against England.
Of the four Test victories England have managed in Australia this century, three came in the series they won in 2010-11.
By the time they return to Australia in 2021, England will have not won a Test here in more than a decade.
They will have the opportunity to regain the Ashes at home in 2019

- The 1,003.2 overs England bowled in the series is the most since the 1994-95 Ashes, when they sent down 1,013.4 overs
- The 58 wickets England have taken is their second lowest tally in a five-Test series in Australia, behind 57 in 1958-59
- Australia are the first team to go through a five-Test series with only four bowlers taking wickets
- This is the first Ashes series since 1994-95 when all five Tests have reached the fifth day
