The Supreme Court of India(SCI)on Wednesday July 12,2017 said that a 5-judge Constitution Bench will hear matters related to Aadhaar.
The hearing will begin from July 18 and will go on for two days.
The petitioners have challenged Aadhaar saying that collection of personal details is a violation of privacy.
On June 9, the court held that PAN cards won’t be rendered invalid in such cases until the larger bench decides the main matter where Aadhaar has been challenged on the ground of breaching the right to privacy.
