Supreme Court of India(SCI) Gets 5 New Judges

Boosting the strength of the Supreme Court of India(SCI), the President of India on the recommendation of the collegium has appointed five new judges to the SCI
The new judges are -
  1. Chief Justice of the Madras High Court Sanjay Kishan Kaul
  2. Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court Shantanagoudar Mohan Mallikarjunagouda
  3. Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court Navin Sinha
  4. Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court Deepak Gupta and
  5.  Karnataka High Court judge S. Abdul Nazeer
The maximum strength of sanctioned Supreme Court judges including Chief Justice of India J.S. Khehar is 31
However, the current judicial strength stands at 23, an all-time low in recent years
