India set for best-ever foodgrain output

Powered by a good monsoon and a sharp increase in production of pulses, India is headed for an all-time record foodgrain production, estimated at 271 million tonnes in the 2016-17 crop year, a scenario which will help check food inflation and boost rural incomes
