2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections - UP Assembly elections Phase 2 on Feb 15,2017

Phase 2 polling in UP Assembly Election 2017 will witness polling in 11 dstricts of the state — most of it known as Rohilkhand.
This region, that votes on Wednesday Feb 15,2017, has the state’s highest proportion of Muslims and even a sizeable Sikh presence apart from the Dalits, which is emblematic of the state’s diversity. Kheri, too, has the only enclave of Tharu tribals in the Dudhwa forest ranges.

The Muslim-majority districts of Rohilkhand region of Uttar Pradesh will put BJP on a tough turf. The party is up against anti-demonetisation sentiments and will bank on a split in minority votes. And SP's big guns - ministers Azam Khan, Riyaz Ahmad and Kamal Akhtar, all in the fray - will make this region the most difficult to win for the BJP.
