Russian leader Vladimir Putin arrived in Turkey on Monday December 01,2014 for a packed one-day visit, accompanied by a delegation of ten ministers.

Even both the countries do not see eye to eye on some issues, they enjoy warm relations when it comes to economics.Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday holds talks in Ankara with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to tighten links which have survived potentially grave disputes over the Syria and Ukraine crises

Top of the agenda, as is now always the case when it comes to Russia-Turkish bilateral relations, was the issue of energy

Turkey is Russia's 2nd largest European Importer of natural gas after Germany, and its importance as a customer has only grown given the political tensions this year with the European Union and the U.S. over Moscow's power-play in Ukraine.

In Ankara,Turkey Putin and Erdogan signed a protocol on energy cooperation; the two countries hope they can reach $100 billion in annual bilateral trade by 2020
