Solar Panel Scam in Kerala

The scam pertains to financial cheating of several people by the accused Biju Radhakrishnan and Saritha Nair, both under arrest, by offering clients Solar Energy Solutions.The accused allegedly flaunted their clout with the CM's office

Saritha Nair was brought to the Ambalappuzha police station on a production warrant issued by the Pathanamthita court in connection with a cheating case in Konni and she will be questioned at the Amabalappuzha police station following granting of police custody in all cheating cases across the State
The Police has registered a case  on the basis of a complaint filed by Sreedharan Nair from Konni


Saritha had cheated Sreedharan Nair of Rs.40 lakh by promising to set up a Rs.80-crore solar project at a cost of Rs.5 crore after obtaining government subsidies at his industrial unit at the Kinfra Park in Palakkad. She had introduced herself as Lekshmi Nair and said her company was supported by the State government. She had taken him to the Chief Minister’s office, apparently to convince him of her words, Mr. Nair said in his complaint

Judicial First Class Magistrate-I R. Bilkul on Monday July 1,2013 remanded Saritha S. Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan, key accused in the Team Solar cheating case, to judicial custody in connection with a cheating case registered against her at the Aranmula police station

Both the accused were sent to the Pathanamthitta district jail. Saritha has been remanded to jail till July 15 and Biju till July 11,2013.
