Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case - CBI files second chargesheet against Nirav Modi’s uncle Mehul Choksi, top PNB officials Wednesday May 16,2018

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed its second chargesheet in Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud case running over Rs 13,000 crore on Wednesday May 16,2018
.
CBI sources have told India Today that the chargesheet has been filed against 18 accused and focuses on the criminal conspiracy and fraud committed by diamond businessman Mehul Choksi through his firms.

Apart from Usha Ananthasubramanian, former MD and CEO of PNB bank and current CEO of Allahabad Bank, two Executive Directors of PNB, KV Brahmaji Rao and Sanjeev Saran and a General Manager Nehal Ahad, the CBI chargesheet has named three firms owned by Choksi namely - Gitanjali Gems Limited, Gilli India Limited and Nakshatra Brand Limited.

Mehul Choksi, and Nirav Modi's wife, Ami, have also been shown as wanted by the agency.

On Monday May 14,2018, the CBI had chargesheeted Nirav Modi and 24 others in connection with fraud of Rs 6,498 crore.
