A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border
region today at 4:11 pm Wednesday May 09,2018, the tremors of which were felt in north India.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in Aghanistan, near the Tajikistan border.
The tremors were felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Padesh and Delhi-NCR.
Most of Jammu and Kashmir, including capital Srinagar, the Kashmir Valley and areas in Jammu, as well as Himachal Pradesh's Khajjiar, Kulli and Shimla experienced tremors.
Tremors were also felt in New Delhi and its surrounding areas of Gurgaon and Noida.
