Far from there being any respite from price hike to the common people, petrol prices touched a four-year high on Friday April 20,2018
Petrol prices were increased by one paisa and diesel by four paise on Friday.
In Mumbai, petrol was priced at Rs 81.93, highest since 2013.
A similar surge was also seen in Delhi where petrol was Rs 74.08 per litre. In Chennai and Kolkata, the fuel was Rs 76.78 and Rs 76.85 respectively.
Meanwhile, the hike was also seen in the prices of diesel across these cities.
Diesel prices reached a record high of Rs 65.31 in Delhi. In Chennai it was priced at Rs 68.9, in Mumbai it was Rs 69.54 and in Kolkata the price was Rs 68.01.
