China's growing might means nobody can ignore it. But is the country viewed positively or negatively?
The US and most of western Europe have a negative view, eastern Europe, South America and Africa are largely positive as is most of Asia, with India, Vietnam and Japan being among the exceptions, according to a Pew Research Centre survey.
In most countries, the young view China more favourably than older people.
