An unskilled Indian earns 12 times less than a German

Apart from being proportional to the quality and quantity of work done, wages are supposed to afford a decent lifestyle for a worker and his family. 

That is why most countries mandate minimum wages that typically apply to the most vulnerable section— unskilled labour.

 However, in India, the unskilled worker is massively underpaid.
