 The Kerala Govt has set aside 10 crore for Air Kerala  in the latest Budget but the State Govt's amibitiousplan to set up international services cannot until the Central Govtdecides an Aviation Rule that requires an Airline to have 5 years of Domestic Flying eperience and a fleet of 20 aircraft to get approval or flying to foreign countries

Air Kerala envisaged as a cheaper alternative to expatriate Malayalis working in West Asia is expected to cost 80 crore in the initial 5 years of operation
