Shikhar Dhawan achieved the feat in the 4th ODI Vs Australia @ Canberra when he scored 126 Runs off 113 Balls which was his second century in Australia in ODIs – his first being 137 against South Africa at Melbourne on February 22, 2015
Shikhar Dhawan is exactly on 3000 ODI runs from 72 innings, three lesser than Virat Kohli's feat. Only two batsmen have achieved the feat in a fewer innings - South Africa's Hashim Amla (57) and West Indies great Vivian Richards (69)
Another West Indian legend, Gordon Greenidge and former South Africa opener Gary Kirsten also had taken 72 innings for their respective 3000 runs.
