Oil Tycoons Ex-Wife Rejects a Cheque for almost $1 Billion

 

Sue Ann Arnall, the ex-wife of Oklahoma oil magnate Harold Hamm (pictured together), the chief executive of oil driller Continental Resources, believes her former husband is worth about $18 billion, slamming her settlement as 'inappropriate'.

 

In an effort to end the divorce, Hamm wrote Arnall a check for $974.8 million (main) after a November court ruling decided that figure represented Arnall's entitlements, however she has appealed the decision.

Her lawyers said Tuesday Jan 06,2015 they rejected the check because they didn't want to risk their appeal case by accepting. Hamm had already paid his former wife more than $20 million during the divorce proceedings.
