Germany captain Philipp Lahm has retired from international football

Philipp Lahm(DOB Nov 11,1983) who led his team to the 2014 FIFA World Cup success has called time on his Germany career after 113 caps and scoring 5 Goals, the German Football Federation announced.
Philipp Lahm has been captain since 2010, when he benefited from an injury to Michael Ballack to lead the team in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.Philipp Lahm led Germany to the semi-finals of the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012
