FIFA has announced the shortlist for the 2014 Golden Ball, the prize awarded to the best player at the World Cup.
- Argentina have 3 nominees - Angel Di Maria, Javier Mascherano and Lionel Messi
- Germany have 4 nominees -Mats Hummels, Toni Kroos, Phillip Lahm and Thomas Muller
- Colombia's James Rodriguez
- Brazil's Neymar and
- Netherlands Arjen Robben
The winner will be announced after Sunday July 13,2014 final between Germany and Argentina
