2014 Lok Sabha and Assembly Election Arunachal Pradesh To Have Single Phase Polling On April 09,2014



 The Election Commission of India(ECI)have announced on Wednesday March 05,2014 a 9-phase polling for the 16th Lok Sabha Election scheduled to be held between April 07 -May 12,2014


The Election Commission of India(ECI)have announced on Wed March 05,2014 that Arunachal Pradesh to have Single Phase Polling on April 09,2014 for the 2 Lok Sabha Constituencies

Elections to the 60-member Arunachal Pradesh assembly will be held along with Lok Sabha polls on April 9, the Election Commission announced on Monday night March 10,2014




The tenure of the 60-member Arunachal assembly ends on November04,2014

People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA)Announce Candidates Thursday March 13,2014

PPA announce 6 candidates for the assemblt election
  • Party president Nikh Kamin would contest from Bordumsa-Diyun constituency in Changlang district 
  • sitting MLA and chief ministerial candidate Laeta Umbrey would contest from his home constituency Roing in Lower Dibang Valley district.
  • Kenyyir Ringu from Nari-Koyu constituency in East Siang
  •  Tirong Aboh from Khonsa West
  • Wanglam Sawin from Khonsa East (both in Tirap district) and 
  • Rongnai Manham from Kanubari constituency in Longding district.  

188 candidates to contest Arunachal assembly Elections

Altogether 188 candidates, including Independents, are in the fray for the 60-member assembly in Arunachal Pradesh, election for which will be held on April 9,2014

 

The Congress has fielded 60 candidates for the assembly polls, while opposition BJP nominated 49 candidates, PPA (20), NCP (12), NPF (11) and Aam Aadmi Party fielded one candidate.

A total of 32 Independent candidates are also in the fray for the 60-member assembly.

For the two Lok Sabha constituencies in the state, altogether 11 candidates filed their papers.

 

 Western Parliamentary constituency

 would witness multi-cornered contest with 7 candidates in the fray namely -

  •  Takam Sanjoy of Congress

  •  BJP candidate Kiren Rijiju

  • People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) candidate Jalley Sonam

  • Aaam Aadmi Party nominee Habung Payeng

  •  Taba Taku of Lok Bharati

  •  Trinamool Congress candidate Gumjum Haider and 

  • NCP nominee Gicho Kabak (NCP)

Eastern Parliamentary Constituency  

Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Ninong Ering (Congress)

 former BJP MP Tapir Gao and 

PPA nominee Wangman Lowangcha

would witness multi-cornered contest with 4 candidates in the fray namely -

 Arunachal Pradesh Electorate

Altogether 7,53,170 electorates, including 3,77,272 female voters, would exercise their franchise in 2,158 polling stations across the state.
