TN Govt.signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with 12 companies,
attracting a total investment of about Rs 21,000 crore at ITC Grand Chola Hotel, Chennai on Monday Nov 05,2012
The 12 Companies are -
1) Hyundai Motors India Ltd
2)Indo Rama Group of Companies
3)ADD Industrial Park (TN) Ltd
4)BGR Energy Group Companies
5)Harsha Group of Companies
6)Saint Gobain Glass India
7)Danfoss Industries Pvt Ltd
8) Nokia India Pvt Ltd
9)Sanmina-SCI India Pvt Ltd
10)Tube Investments of India
11) Amway India Enterprises and
12)TVS Group Companies.
The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at a function held at the star hotel today. A total of 12 investment proposals amounting to Rs 20,925 crore were signed and this was for the first time so many MoUs were signed on a single day.
The MoUs were both for setting up new facilities as well as expansion of the existing ones and would create 1.36 lakh job opportunities, both directly and indirectly.
The MoUs were for 7 new companies to invest in the state and for expansion of 5 companies.
