Risabh Pant blitzkrieg included 15 fours and one six, but it wasn't mindless slogging as he first settled in to give support to Cheteshwar Pujara. After Pujara's dismissal, the Delhi lad took the attack to Australia and started dealing in boundaries, reaching his second Test ton.

The 21-year-old also overtook MS Dhoni's 148 against Pakistan to register the highest score by an Indian wicket-keeper in Tests away from home.

It was also Pant's highest total in his short career so far, beating the 114 he scored against England at Edgbaston.

Overall, Pant's 159 was the second-highest by a wicket-keeper in Australia, behind AB de Villiers, who smashed 169 in Perth.
