Queen Maxima's sister Inés Zorreguieta found dead at home

The younger sister of Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has died at her home in the Argentine capital on Wednesday June 06,2018

Inés Zorreguieta was 33 and is understood to have taken her own life.

She was bridesmaid at her sister's wedding to then Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander in 2002 and is godmother to their youngest daughter, 11-year-old Princess Ariane.

Queen Maxima, a native Argentinian, was "very shocked and very sad" at her sister's death, the royal house said.

Willem-Alexander and Maxima became king and queen in 2013 when his mother abdicated  

 Inés Zorreguieta,was the godmother of Queen Máxima's youngest daughter Princess Ariane, 11, and was the youngest child of the late Jorge Zorreguieta and María del Carmen Cerruti Carricart. Máxima has two brothers, Juan and Martin, and three half-sisters, Maria, Dolores and Angeles.
