The Bihar board Class XII results have seen an improvement in the
number of students passing the tests. 52 per cent of the 11,92,053
candidates who appeared for the examinations this year passed.
A total of 12,07,975 students filled forms for the Class XII examinations. Out of these, 11,92,053 appeared of which around 5,70,000 students failed the examinations.
The pass percentage stood at 52.95 per cent while the rest failed. Last year, around 35 per cent of all students who appeared for the Class XII board examinations had passed.
The three toppers in this year's state board results were all girls. Sheohar's Kalpana Kumari, the student topped the recent CBSE NEET, topped the science stream with 434 marks.
Muzaffarpur's Nidhi Sinha topped the commerce stream with 434 marks while Jamui's Kusum Kumari topped the arts stream with 424 marks
