2017 West Indies Tour of England - England Vs West Indies First Test @ Edgbaston Thursday August 17,2017

Alastair Cook and Joe Root hit centuries as England dominated West Indies on the first day of the inaugural day-night Test in the UK.
Cook batted through the day for his unbeaten 153, sharing 248 with skipper Root, who made 136, as England racked up 348-3 at Edgbaston.

Opener Mark Stoneman managed eight on his debut .Mark Stoneman struck two fours before being bowled by the sixth ball he faced and 

Tom Westley fell for the same score, but Dawid Malan is 27 not out.
Kemar Roach took two wickets for West Indies, who were poor with the ball and in the field.

  • Alastair Cook has scored six Test centuries against West Indies, equalling an England record shared with Colin Cowdrey, Allan Lamb and Andrew Strauss

  • Kyle and Shai Hope are the fifth pair of brothers to play a Test together for West Indies, after Rolph & Jackie Grant; Jeffrey and Vic Stollmeyer; Fidel Edwards and Pedro Collins; and Dwayne and Darren Bravo
