Why we need a 'World No Tobacco Day’

Tobacco is the world's single biggest cause of preventable deaths globally. 

Yet more than seven million people die due to tobacco-related deaths every year the world over. In India, smoking kills close to a million people annually and tobacco-related non-communicable diseases such as cancer and heart diseases are the fourth leading cause of deaths. 

Here’s why the world needs to declare a war on tobacco use.
