Team India Set a New Milestone
India's batting has always been it's main strength over the years and during the second ODI against West Indies at the Queen's Park Oval stadium in Port of Spain, Virat Kohli and his troops set a new milestone.
Meanwhile, South Africa (77), Pakistan (69) and Sri Lanka (63) complete the top-5 list of most number of 300+ scores in ODIs.
India reached their maiden 300 during versus Pakistan at Sharjah in April 1996 and since then, the Men in Blue have crossed the 300-run mark another 95 times. India have registered 75 victories and 19 losses while two matches have ended in a tie.
'Slow Motion' MS Dhoni Teases Jason Holder
Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is known for his lightning speed behind the stumps, but in the second ODI against West Indies, Dhoni's 'slow motion' effect came to the fore at the Queen's Park Oval on Sunday.
In the 36th over of the Windies chase, the hosts were already out of the match as they required 138 runs off just 42 deliveries. But skipper Jason Holder and Roston Chase put on a partnership of 42 runs for the 6th wicket to provide some respectability to the innings.
However, Dhoni put an end to that soon by stumping Holder for 29. More than the dismissal, it was the way Dhoni got rid of Holder that put a smile on the faces of Indian fans.
Holder came dancing down the track and tried to hit a Kuldeep Yadav delivery out of the park, but ended up missing the ball completely. Dhoni caught the ball and waited for Holder to make a move and then in slow motion removed the bails as the Windies skipper had already given up.
