Katy Perry reached the top of the Billboard charts Sunday June 18,2017 as Witness became her third number one album.
The 32-year-old singer previously topped the US charts with Teenage Dream in 2010 and Prism in 2013.
Katy was credited with 180,000 album-equivalent units, including 162,000 pure album sales, according to an article Sunday June 18,2017 by Billboard.
Witness was released June 9,2017 by Capitol Records.
It was the highest US opening for a female singer since Lady Gaga released Joanne last year.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on traditional album sales, track equivalent albums and streaming equivalent albums.
Witness, Prism and Teenage Dream all debuted at the top of the charts.
