India to have world’s largest population of Muslims by 2050

In the coming three decades, India will have the distinction of having the largest populations of two major religions – Hinduism and Islam – according to new religious data projections by US-based Pew Research Center. 

India is already home to 94% of the world's Hindus. By 2050, India will be home to 11% of the world’s Muslims as well.
