Amazon.in on Wednesday Sep 21,2016 announced the launch of Amazon Pantry in
Hyderabad, where customers can shop for over 4,000 everyday essentials
-- groceries and household products -- on the website and mobile, and
have them delivered at home the following day.
Amazon Pantry makes it convenient for customers to stock-up for a basket of frequently purchased items.
The
store offers essentials including food, beverages, household supplies,
health and beauty products. Amazon Pantry also offers a unique selection
that forms a part of the monthly purchase basket such as dals, rice,
atta, oil, etc.
Saurabh Srivastava, Category Leader
FMCG, Amazon India in a statement said, “Amazon Pantry makes it
convenient for customers to shop for groceries and household products as
it saves time spent on travel, parking, queuing and lugging heavy bags
from a store to the car and from there to a customer’s home. We are
confident customers will be delighted by the ease, convenience and the
fast delivery benefits that it offers.”
A Pantry box
can carry a full shopping basket of up to 15kg of products and as a
customer shops, the addition of more products indicates what percentage
of the Pantry box is filled, based on the product’s size and weight.
Once the box is filled to capacity, a new box automatically starts
filling with the new items.
