Caroline Wozniacki can look forward to a first Grand Slam semi-final in two years at the US Open as she saw off injured Anastasija Sevastova in straight sets.
Former
world No 1 Wozniacki had come into the final Grand Slam of the year at a
lowly ranking of No 74 after a rough year of both injury and poor form.
But
New York has brought out the best in the Dane, although she did not
have to work too hard for her 6-0, 6-2 win after Latvian world No 48
Sevastova rolled her ankle.
