Samsung Launches a Refrigerator That's Also a 21-inch TV and Home Entertainment System

Adding another dimension to the word 'smart appliances', Samsung has officially launched its new refrigerator that comes with a large 21.5-inch LCD touchscreen that lets you shop, surf the web, and also watch a movie.

Unveiled first at the European Forum, held in Monaco, the Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator comes with a vertical touchscreen that serves as a digital command center and allows users to carry our multiple tasks like sharing family calendars, photos, notes, viewing what's inside the fridge while grocery shopping or even watching a movie as you cook.

The smart refrigerator comes with three tiny, high quality cameras positioned inside that capture an image each time the doors close and makes the data available through a connected app.

The Family Hub further lets you order groceries straight from the door and also make payments. It also shows expiration dates of products inside the fridge, while the Fridge Manager controls the freezer temperature and check the status of the water filter. One can further check outside weather, surf social media sites, listen to music with the in-built speakers, and much more
The all-inclusive smart refrigerator is available in the US at a whopping $5,999.99 for a Counter Depth size and $5,799.99 for the Full Depth size
