Reliance Jio will launch its telecom services for its employees first on
December 27,2015 to coincide with the birth anniversary of Reliance Group
Founder Dhirubhai Ambani.
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and music
composer A R Rahman are expected to perform at the launch event.
An e-mail sent out to all the employees of the company by Mukesh and Nita Ambani
reveals that the launch event will start at 5.30 pm at the Reliance
Corporate Park which will be live telecast to 1,000 locations across the
country.
"We want every member of our Reliance family to participate either in
person or virtually through a Jio telecast beamed live to more than
1,000 locations in India," the e-mail said.
The commercial launch date has not yet been disclosed but according to industry sources it will happen in March-April 2016.
Reliance Jio is expected to launch 4G-based telecom services across the
country, including video streaming, music streaming, money payments and
video calling.
